Promotion, preservation of Ibadan cultural values is my priority – Oladimeji 

The newly installed Baale of Eleruko village, Chief Olawatosin Olusegun Oladimeji has pledged that promotion and preservation of Ibadan cultural values will be his priority.

Oladimeji made this declaration shortly after his installation by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin.

The installation took place on Monday at Olubadan palace, Oke Aremo, Ibadan in Ibadan.

Our correspondent gathered that Eleruko village is located in Lagelu local government area of Oyo state.

The event was attended by other members of members of Olubadan in council, family members and other indigenes of the village.

Oladimeji while speaking, noted that his installation is a call for more service.

The newly installed traditional title holder asserted that his priority is to attract developmental projects to the village, Lagelu local government area and Oyo state in general.

He used the opportunity to thank the people of Eleruko village for counting him worthy to be installed as the new Baale of Eleruko and promise that he will abstain from any action that can tarnish the image of the village.

While speaking further, Oladimeji expressed gratitude to those who graced the occasion from all works of life, within and outside Nigeria which included members of Taiwo Ariyibi dynasty of Eleruko village, traditional rulers in Lagelu local government, religious leaders, business tycoons and other well-wishers.

“My name is Olawatosin Olusegun Oladimeji, I am the new Baale of Eleruko village in Lagelu local government area by the special grace of God.

“Eleruko is our heritage. It is our own. I wish to thank all sons and daughters of the village for their contributions to have me installed as their Baale.

“I also appreciate the Olubadan of Ibadanland and the Olubadan-in-council for my installation as the Baale of Eleruko.

“My intention is to promote Eleruko village and attract developmental projects to Eleruko village, Lagelu local government and Oyo state as a whole”.
