Kachalla Ibrahim Gurgun Daji, a known bandit commander, has been killed at Kwanar Nasiru, which is located east of Mada town in Gusau Local Government Area, Zamfara State.
Gurgun DAJI was reportedly ‘surprised’ by a rival party on Sunday, and his body was left at the spot.
Ibrahim Gurgun Daji, according to Zagazola Makama, was well-known for his criminal activities, which included arranging violent attacks on the Kwatarkwashi-Mada route and in the adjacent villages.
His base of operations was Shangel village, which is located east of Mada. He was also infamous for buying abducted victims in Gusau, bolstering his position in the region’s criminal underworld.
In addition to his involvement in the attacks, he was said to have hosted other criminal personalities, like Bello Taggoje, at his home in Shangel village. Gurgun Daji was thought to have a big gang of followers that engaged in different acts of banditry and terror throughout the area.
The killing of Kachalla Ibrahim Gurgun Daji is a significant breakthrough in the war against banditry in Zamfara State, as he was regarded as a crucial player in the region’s armed criminal network.
