Millions of Nigerians were left without power on Monday night following a nationwide collapse of the electricity Friday.
Electricity distributors reported a sudden loss of power from the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) around 7:00 p.m., just as many were returning home after work.
Abuja Electricity indicated that the failure began at 6:58 p.m. and assured residents that efforts were underway to resolve the issue.
The exact cause of the grid failure is yet to be determined, and a spokesperson for TCN could not be reached for immediate comment.
Details later.
