Fubara architect of violence in Rivers State – Nyesom Wike

Must read

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike on Tuesday declared that the architect of violence in Rivers State is the governor of the State, Similanayi Fubara.

Wike said he blamed Fubara for the escalation of violence in Rivers while vehemently labelling the governor as the perpetrator of the violence.

The former Rivers State governor further revealed that although his pro-Wike supporters are solidly behind him, none of them could be attributed to the violence that preceded the LG election in the State.

The minister denied that those who destroyed and set fire to some LG secretariat were his supporters. He revealed that if his supporters were the ones causing havoc in Rivers State, he would condemn the act and make sure they are prosecuted.

Featuring on Channels TV’s Politics Today, Wike also declared that Fubara’s refusal to obey court orders while insisting on going ahead to do as he pleased only makes him the architect of violence in the State.

The FCT minister said, “Who is the perpetrator of the violence? It is not about blaming. The governor (Siminalayi Fubara) is the architect of the violence. Those who were destroying properties were not pro-Wike supporters.

“You saw me; I was in Abuja; how will I know those causing havoc? If I knew it was my supporters causing havoc in the State, I would condemn it.

“What is law and order? What are people saying? Obey court orders, obey the court judgement. All of you presented yourself to the court, all of you brought your legal representations and the matter was argued and the court came up with judgement. You heard the president say the judiciary can settle all political disputes, and you came out as a governor to say no, this is a fraudulent judgement, accusing the judiciary of being fraudulent. In that case, who is inciting violence? Who is inviting anarchy?”
