A 35-year-old man, Moses Dashe, was arraigned before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Wednesday for allegedly stealing a motorcycle valued at one million naira.
Dashe, whose residential address was not provided, faced a single charge of theft but pleaded not guilty to the allegation.
Inspector Oladejo Balogun, the prosecutor, informed the court that the defendant committed the offence on October 2 at around 7:54 p.m. at Green Gate Estate, Oluyole, Ibadan.
He is accused of stealing a motorcycle owned by Metro Africa Express, Ibadan, an offence that violates Section 390 (9) of the Oyo State Criminal Laws, 2000.
Presiding Magistrate Olasinmibo Sanusi-Zubair granted Dashe bail in the sum of N300,000, with two sureties in the same amount. The case was adjourned to November 19 for further hearing.
