False miracles: Verify testimony before presentation – CAN orders Lord’s Chosen

Must read

The leadership of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries has been directed by the Lagos State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria to review and investigate the pattern in which its members give testimonials at their religious gatherings.

Recall that during the preceding week, one of the church member’s viral testimonials was denounced by the Christian organisation.

The anonymous member stated in her revelation that she saw an elderly man in the examination room who answered some of her exam questions.

The member also reported that in the exam room, she gave a member of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries the answers that was revealed by the elderly man she saw.

Bishop Stephen Adegbite, the chairman of Lagos CAN, denounced the testimony and called it a complete lie.

Adegbite said that in order to resolve the contentious testimony, the Christian organisation will call a critical conference of the church hierarchy.

The CAN chairman stated in a statement on Thursday that the meeting had taken place and that the church had been given instructions to alter how it will now convey testimony going forward.

“We had the meeting last Friday at the CAN secretariat in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos. Representatives of the church were there, and we told them to be careful and review the pattern of their testimonies. It is only a madman who would think otherwise.”

He continued by saying that coordinators from all 57 of the state’s local government regions were present at the meeting, along with all five of CAN’s bloc leaders.

“Over 100 people attended the meeting, and we discussed the testimony issue. Everybody was on the same page. We reject vehemently any testimony that is not reasonable and sensible, which can be misleading and bring disrepute to the name of Christ. We reject it in its entirety.

“We told the leaders to ensure that they ask their members what they want to say before giving them the microphone.

“If what they want to say is not good for public consumption, it should be disallowed. God still performs miracles. We must say the truth and nothing but the truth,” the CAN chairman stated.
