Richard Adamu Tallen, the only son of former Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, has passed away.
According to a statement from the family, Richard died on Sunday morning at Cedarcrest Hospital in Abuja, where he had been receiving medical care. He was placed in the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU) on Friday night, though the exact cause of death remains unclear.
His alma mater, Vom Old Boys’ Association (VOBA), also confirmed the news in a statement posted on social media. “We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of our member, Mr. Richard Adamu Tallen, after a brief illness in Abuja,” the group wrote. “Eternal rest grant unto him, oh Lord. May perpetual light shine upon him, and may his soul rest in peace.”
Richard, aged 42, was a computer science graduate from a university in the United States. He is survived by his wife and three children.
Details regarding his funeral will be announced by the family at a later time.
