Oyo state Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde has informed the state workers that, his government will soon commence the payment of the new approved minimum wage.
Makinde made the announcement known in an address during the 2024 Teachers’ Day celebration in Ibadan, Oyo state.
The Governor further noted that the state government will start negotiations with the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC by next week.
He added that the state has extended the wage award for another 3 months, pending the time the negotiation will be resolved.
