The Action Peoples Party (APP) has claimed victory in 22 out of 23 chairmanship positions in the Rivers State local government elections.
This announcement was made by the Chief Election Officer of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, Justice Adolphus Enebeli, on Saturday in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
Justice Enebeli also noted that the results for Etche Local Government Area have been temporarily withheld, as collation of votes is still in progress.
He further added that the results for Etche LGA, along with those of the 319 councillorship seats, will be announced at a later date.
