Akwa Ibom Gov. dismisses remarriage rumors, cites financial constraints

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has stated that he has no plans to remarry in the near future, attributing his decision to financial limitations.

His comments come in the wake of speculation regarding his personal life following the death of his wife, Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, in September.

During a condolence visit from Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Governor Eno humorously remarked, “I’m not considering remarrying anytime soon. I don’t have the money to pay another bride price.”

The late Mrs. Patience Umo Eno was celebrated for her philanthropic contributions, particularly through her Golden Initiative For All (GIFA) project.

Her legacy will continue through their daughter, Helen Eno Obareki, who has been appointed as the new First Lady of Akwa Ibom State.
