The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has suspended its National Vice Chairman, Southeast Zone, Mr. Ali Odefa.
The Ward Executive Committee, led by acting ward chairman, Herbert Ovuta, made this announcement at a press conference in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State on Friday.
They accused Odefa of engagement in “anti-party activities.”
Alongside other committee members, acting ward chairman, Ovuta stated:
“We are here to inform you of the resolution of the Oguduokwor Ward Executive Committee to suspend Chief Ali Odefa, the National Vice Chairman of the PDP Southeast Zone, for activities that are destructive to our party’s name.
“His suspension is in compliance with Section 57 (3) of the PDP Constitution. Additionally, we have referred Chief Ali Odefa to the Ward Disciplinary Committee for further action.”
