Tinubu gave us options on pump price of fuel, minimum wage – NLC

Must read

The Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, has revealed the options President Bola Tinubu gave to the union on pump price of fuel.

According to the union, Tinubu told them to within 48 hour consult among themselves to agree on whether he should increase the pump price of fuel to N1500 and pay N250,000 minimum wage or allow fuel pump price as it is with N62,000 minimum wage.

The chief information officer of the union, Benson Upah, said on Arise TV that the union agreed N70,000 minimum wage with the government just to avert any further increment on the pump price of fuel.

Recall that the increment in the pump price of fuel recently shook Nigeria to its foundation.

The Labour union consequently issued an ultimatum to the government to reverse the current price or face a nationwide economic shutdown.
