Ladoja mourns ex-Oyo SSG, Koleosho

A former governor of Oyo state, Senator Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja has described the passing of a former secretary to thr state government, Chief Michael Koleoso as most unfortunate.

Ladoja made this declaration via a statement signed by his Media Aide, Adeola Oloko.

The statement was made available to Afriposot on Wednesday.

Our correspondent gathered that Koleosho died at the age of 86 on Monday.

Ladoja who is the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland in the statement, noted that his personal association with the departed politician and elder statesman dated back to over 30 years, even though he had been hearing about him during the Bola Ige Administration between 1979 and 1983.

He recalled that in the course of his political career, they had had cause to meet. He stated that even when party differences occasionally separated both of them, he still regarded him as a big brother for whom he had tremendous amount of respect.

Ladoja who described the departed Chief Koleoso as a remarkable business man and political titan, said that the exit of the iconic politician is not only a terrible blow to Okeogun but also Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.

While mourning his exit at a time like this, the former Oyo state Governor urged his numerous relatives and friends to take solace in the fact that Chief Koleoso’s lifetime was a life well spent not only in the service of God, but also the humanity as a whole.

Ladoja, while praying for the repose of his soul also prayed God to give his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He urged the people of Saki in Okeogun Area of Oyo State under the leadership of Kabiesi Okere Saki to take heart.
