The FCT police commissioner, Mr Ben Igwe has said that the police will haunt down the Shiites Islamic sect who attacked and killed two policemen at the Wuse axis of Abuja on Sunday.
The Commissioner who spoke on Sunday evening said the group launched an attack on the police without being provoked.
He said he would mobilize his men to go after them, revealing that about 75 of them have already been arrested.
He assured FCT residents of their safety, reiterating that the group would be subdued in no time.
He confirmed alerting all other states commissioners to support the move to haunt down the Shiites group.
He, however, said that the police will obey international justice while dealing with the proscribed group.
Recall that the group despite being proscribed stormed Abuja on Sunday in a protest which led to a confrontation with the police. At least two officers were killed many others injured.
