Reverend Williams Oluwarotimi Aladekugbe the Bishop of Ibadan North Anglican Diocese, has been elected as the Archbishop of Ibadan province.
Our correspondent reports that the announcement was made on Tuesday by Primate and Cosmopolitan of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba.
Ndukuba in the statement made available to journalists through the director of communication of the church, Comrade Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga, noted that four Archbishops were elected, while seven clergy men were also elected as Bishops.
He added that Aladekugbe’s elevation did not come as a surprise to the clergy and laity of Ibadan North Anglican Diocese and visitors to the Diocese.
The statement said that “Aladekugbe’s elevation did not come as a surprise to the clergy and laity of Ibadan North Anglican Diocese and visitors to the Diocese considering the giant steps taken by our Father in the lord on spiritual works and unprecedented capacity building of both members and infrastructures two years ago when he became the Bishop of Ibadan North Anglican Diocese.
