A man, Joseph Kanke, 22, on Thursday, appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, accused of stealing valuables worth N7.3 million.
Kanke, whose address was not provided, was charged with conspiracy and stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Insp Olalekan Adegbite told the court that the defendant committed the offences on July 3, at about 5.00 p.m, at Opore community, Odo-Ona Kekere in Oluyole LGA, Ibadan.
Adegbite said that the defendant stole the valuables worth N7, 330, 000, property of one James Odewole.
He said that the property stolen included: generators, televisions, fans, Binatone blender, among others.
Adegbite said that the offences contravened Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Oluwabusayo Osho, granted the defendant N2 million bail with two reliable sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until July 31, for hearing.
