A human rights group, Save the Poor and Needy Charity Initiative (SPANCI) has declared that the achievements recorded so far by governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state has surpassed that of his predecessors.
SPANCI made this declaration via a statement made available to journalists at the weekend in Ibadan, the state capital.
SPANCI President, Comrade Yemi Ezekiel Bello in the statement said that the organisation appreciate the good works of the governor in moving the state forward than he met it.
Bello added that Makinde has brought a lot of developmental projects to the state.
He maintained that the governor has beaten all past governors records in terms of his inputs in agricultural, educational, infrastructural, health and other sections in the state.
He said “Makinde has proved that good governance is achievable and has beaten all predecessors records.
“We in Save the poor and needy charity initiative (SPANCI) a human rights and Charity organization appreciate all the good work of Oyo state governor His Excellency engineer Abiodun Olusheyi Makinde for moving the state forward than he met it.
“He has beaten all past governors records in terms of his inputs in agricultural, educational, infrastructural, health and other sections in the state.
“The IGR the state now generates is a great achievement which is being spent wisely in moving the state forward. We appreciate his kind of commitment towards service. Just recently the way and manner he visited the OYRTMA staffs allegedly assaulted by immigration officer in their homes and went to the immigration office to seek unity and cooperation between the state government and federal government workers.
“For his support in making the efforts of the state’s taskforce on real property protection and antiland grabbing law through which many justices have been achieved and the offenders were prosecuted which has drastically reduced land grabbing.
“Finally, SPANCI wish to appreciate his Excellency for the recent establishment by signing into law the rule of law enforcement authority and appointing honorable justice A.A. Aderemi as the chairperson. When offenders are quickly prosecuted and Mobil courts are in action traffic crimes and others will be reduced. May GOD help him to succeed more in good governance. Indeed he has moved Oyo State better than he met it. Kudos”.
