The Special Assistant on Islamic Affairs to governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state, Imam Abdrasheed Abdul-Azeez has advised Muslims across the country to continue to uphold the lessons of the just concluded Ramadan fast.
He made this declaration via a statement issued to congratulate Muslims across the country and the state in particular over the completion of the just concluded Ramadan fast.
Abdul-Azeez in the statement prayed to Almighty Allah to continue to guide his principal, Governor Seyi Makinde, his Deputy, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, Aare Musulumi of Yoruba land, Edo and Delta states, Alhaji Daud Makanjuola Akinola, the chief imam of Ibadan land Sheikh Abubakri AbdulGaniy Agbotomokere .
Imam Abdrasheed in the statement made available to journalists on Thursday, enjoined citizens of the State to continue to pray for Makinde so as to take the state to its promise land.
“I am using this medium to felicitate with Muslims across the country most especially Muslims ummah in Oyo state over the completion of the Ramadan1445 AH.
“I want the people of the state to continue to pray for the state governor to take us to the promise land.
“I felicitate with the Deputy Governor, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal and the Aare Musulumi of Yoruba land, Edo and Delta states over the completion of this year’s Ramadan fast.
“Ramadan taught us various lessons in such as perseverance, patience, love, charity, discipline and the rest.
“We have abandoned sins in the last one month, so we should not go back to it again.
