Owukpa-born Rivers-based lawyer, Barr. Adoyi Matthew Abakpa has lauded the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia for featuring vibrant Benue youths in his administration.
Abakpa gave the commendation on the heel of recent appointment of Owukpa-born medical doctor, Dr. Matthew Onojah as the Executive Secretary of Hospitals Management Board Benue State (HMB).
The lawyer who spoke with AFRIPOST said, “The appointment of Dr. Onojah is a reward for dedication to duties and on merit.
“The governor has shown his passion for excellence and qualitative service delivery in the state agencies in Benue.
“I have keenly watched his appointees and I think our Governor deserves commendations for featuring energetic Benue youths”.
On his part, Dr. Onojah appreciated Gov Alia for finding him worthy for the appointment as ES, HMB, and pledged total commitment to improved service delivery within the secondary health sector.
He said, “I am pleased to express my profound appreciation to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Iornem Hyacinth Alia for finding me worthy to work in his administration for the collective progress of our dear Benue. I feel deeply humbled.
“I pledge my sincere commitment to deliver on my mandate as the ES HMB”.
Onojah, while also appreciating the Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr Yanman Ortese, said, “My sincere gratitude to the Honourable Commissioner for Health and Human Services, who the Lord has positioned to lead the Benue health team at this strategic moment in our collective history as a people”.
