The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has recently approved the appointment of Dr. Matthew Onojah as Executive Secretary of Benue State Hospitals Management Board (BSHMB).
Dr. Onojah who hails from Owukpa District in Ogbadibo Local Government Area, Benue South Senatorial Zone C and Idoma by tribe, is a trained and certified Medical doctor with several years of experience both in the field of medicine and administration.
He is a graduate of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he backs Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2008.
Onojah also holds a Masters degree in Public Health with a bias in health system strengthening and policy (2021) from the famous University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).
He is a general medical practitioner and a public health physician with the Benue State Hospitals Management Board, Makurdi.
Until his appointment, Onojah was the Medical Superintendent, General Hospital Gboko and has headed several hospitals in the Hospitals Management Board, Benue State.
