Following the lost in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, final, a couple of Nigeria’s Super Eagles players are considering retirement from international duty.
The Super Eagles failed to be crown as the king of AFCON 2023 after defeating by hosts Ivory Coast in the final on Sunday.
A source told newsmen that a lot of players are considering retirement following the defeat.
Some of them are, however, due for retirement and should make an announcement in the coming days.
However, there could be some surprising names too.
The source, however, noted, “This is the time for the NFF to engage the players and create the atmosphere that they are loved and the AFCON setback is not the end of life, we can continue working and win in 2025”.
