A former Minister of Foreign Affairs, High Chief Tom Ikimi has been elected PDP national delegate for Igueben LGA.
Ikimi was unanimously voted by delegates in the party’s Saturday election which held across Edo State.
Announcing the result at the end of the voting exercise, electoral officers, Dan K . Okenyi and Indutimi Opurupelebor in a video obtained by our correspondent said Ikimi won overwhelming, hence will proceed as delegate for the primaries.
Earlier, Senator Clifford Ordia had emerged as the national delegate for Esan Central LGA while Chief Osaro Idah was elected national delegate for Oredo.
Declaring Sen. Ordia winner of the election, the electoral officer said:
“Me and my colleagues from Abuja, as the electoral officers of this election, we declare Most Distinguish senator Clifford Ordia the winner of this election.”
The announcement came amid cheers from supporters and other voters.
Similarly, the electoral officers for Oredo while declaring Idah as the winner of the delegate election got a confirmation from the voters that the exercise was free, fair and credible.
