CLEEN Foundation’s Executive Director, Mr. Gad Peter, Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Police Service Commission (PSC), former Inspector General of Police, Dr. Solomon Arase in his office, FCT, Abuja to discussion on Police Reform initiatives and Regulatory Framework.
The CLEEN Foundation has been advocating for a total reform of the Nigeria Police Force and Regulatory Framework restructuring of the force to strengthen its operations.
The Non-governmental Organisation (NGO) in a bid to effectively contribute to police reform in Nigeria conducted an audit of the initiatives of government geared towards reforming the police since the EndSARS protest in 2020.
Though details of the visit is still sketchy as at press time, Mr Gad in a statement on Wednesday said, “Yesterday, I had a fruitful conversation with the Chairman, Police Service Commission, Dr. Solomon Arase to galvanize resources for a joint opportunity bordering on Police Reform initiatives and Regulatory Framework restructuring.
“The significance of Non-profit-Government partnerships cannot be overemphasized, especially in resource mobilization, community engagement and inclusivity.
“We look forward to piloting some activities with the PSC and further strategizing towards the positive change we all seek”, Gad added.
