The child recounted his mother’s escape to safety after the blast and vibrations in the city.

This was revealed in a photo shared on Tuesday night by the OyoAffairs.

Sharing a photo of the child on its X account on Tuesday night, OyoAffairs said, “This little boy was found around Sango looking for his mother. He said his mother ran to safety after the loud bang and vibration in Ibadan an hour ago.

“His name is Sotannde Kodir. Kindly share until someone who recognises him sees him.”

Recall that there was panic in the city around 8 pm over the explosion.

Some of the affected areas include a section of the Governor’s Office, Secretariat, Oyo State House of Assembly, the residence of the former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Chief Bola Ige, some buildings at Ologuneru, Apete, New Garage, Bashorun, Akobo, Sango and Eleyele.

A survivor of the incident, identified as Adeleke, has also reported that he lost his brother, Oladipupo to the explosion.

Adeleke, while speaking with a local broadcasting station, Lagelu FM, explained that they were at the hotel in the area playing tennis before his brother sought to go out to attend to something before the explosion caused a stir that sent a sharp object that gave him a deep cut in his stomach.

He further stated that his deceased brother was rushed to the Adeoyo General Hospital immediately after the incident.
