Betta Edu, the suspended Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Minister, has arrived at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Headquarters, following the alleged N585 million fraud in her ministry.
The Minister was suspended on Monday, by President Bola Tinubu, over the alleged payment of N585 million humanitarian fund meant for payment of grants to vulnerable groups in Akwa Ibom, Lagos, Cross River and Ogun states. into a private account.
She was invited by the EFCC to the Headquarters a few minutes after her suspension from the office.
Edu becomes the first minister to be suspended from office since members of the Federal Executive Council were sworn in in August last year.
