Ondo Community Leader Visits Hospitals, Pays Patients’ Medical Bills

A Community Leader in Ondo State, Chief Asonja Idowu Gbemijoye, has paid medical bills more than 20 patients receiving treatments at the Ondo State Specialist Hospital, Okitipupa and General Hospital, Igbokoda.

Asonja, who is the Ondo State Commandant of Tantita, the private security outfit saddled with the protection of oil pipelines in the State’s coastal areas, also donated other gift items to the patients when he visited the two hospitals on Saturday.

He said the gesture was his own little way of giving back to the society and assisting those in need.

The security expert, who called on all Nigerians not to relent in praying for President Bola Tinubu and other leaders of the country, said situation in the country was such that all citizens should begin to play their parts for a better Nigeria.

In a release, on Sunday, Asonja described the Christmas and New Year festive period as a time to reach out to the less privileged, especially those with health issues.

He commended security agencies in Ondo State for their efforts at maintaining peace in the State, adding that “they need to be encouraged for making Ondo State peaceful and safe.”

Calling on all well-to-do Nigerians to rise in support of security agencies in the country, he said he will continue to give back to the society, especially the riverine areas of Ondo State.
