The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, has revealed that 13 policemen have been arrested for indecent dressing.
Disu disclosed this during a live programme organised by the Force Public Relations Department on a radio station in Port Harcourt.
The officers were said to be arrested during patrol operations conducted by the Monitoring Unit across the state.
“The heads of the Divisions where these policemen serve would also be held vicariously liable for their subordinates’ actions.
“The 13 arrested officers have been detained pending further investigation,” he said.
While addressing the tragic killing of the late Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ahoada Police Division, SP Bako Angbashim, by suspected Iceland cult members, reportedly led by Gift David, also known as 2Baba, Disu assured the public that the case would not be overlooked.
