The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike on Friday revealed how the FCT Administration allocated the same portion of land to different company owners.
In a media chat with selected journalists in Abuja, the former Rivers State Governor said the land, over 300 helters, was first allocated in 2001.
According to him, the land was revoked in 2002 and allocated to another individual and was later revoked again in 2005 and 2009 without prior notice to previous owners.
“There was a case I was handling, FCT allocated the land to the company in 2001. They revoked it and in 2002, reallocated it to another one.
“In 2005, FCTA revoked it and reallocated to the initial company without giving notice to the second person.
“In 2009, the land was revoked again and reallocated to another company, one of them, I know him very well. I told the man this kind of thing will not happen again.”
Wike vowed that his administration would ensure that all illegalities regarding land allocation in the nation’s capital come to an end.
