Hon Moses Thomas Sule, Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, has resigned from his position.
Also, chosen to resign with him, is his deputy, Hon Gwottaon who also announced his resignation.
The member representing Pankshin North, Gabriel Dawang, has been chosen to serve as the new speaker.
Hon Timothy Dantong, representing Riyom constituency, emerged as the new Deputy Speaker of the Assembly.
Although the details of the resignations are still sketchy as at press time, the development may not be unconnected to the political instability in the state.
