The Kano State Ministry of Education has canceled secondary school qualifying examination following the nationwide strike by the Labour Unions comprising of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress, TUC.
According to the statement by the Ministery and signed by its Director of Public Enlightenment, Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, the examination which was scheduled for Tuesday, November 14, 2023, has been suspended indefinitely.
Part of the statement read, “The State Ministry of Education, has suspended the 2023 Secondary Schools Qualifying Examination (SSQE) scheduled to take place today Tuesday 14th Nov. 2023 till further notice.”
Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru also appealed to students and parents/guardians to bear with any inconvenience the suspension may have caused.
