A renowned Christian cleric and the founder of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke Agbara, Ashi, Ibadan, Pastor Michael Ojo Olowere has been buried.

Olowere who was fondly known as Baba Automatic died in July this year at the age of 100 years.

Our correspondent reports that the cleric has been buried in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital on Saturday.

A Christian service was held at 7.am which was followed by a special prayer at the residence of the deceased.

The body of the cleric was committed to mother earth in the morning at CAC, Oke Agbara, Ashi, Ibadan.

President of Christ Apostolic Church Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel Oladele, who preached during the programme noted that the cleric has gone to rest.

Oladele who spoke on the topic, “Death of the Man of God” said that there is time for everything. He said God is the one who fixed the time and manner of death of every human.

He described the deceased as humility personified who served God with all of his being urging everyone to emulate his virtues. He added that the whole body of Christ will miss the deceased.

Oladele while speaking further, maintained that Olowere’s name has been written in gold in the history of the church.

He said, “Righteousness exalts a nation and the preachers are those who preached righteousness. Nigeria is blessed but see where we are today. We should have no business with suffering from poverty but because there is no righteousness in the country.

“Preachers, Pastors, and prophets are those who preached righteousness; they are the ones that tell their members you must go out to demonstrate that we are the light of the world and salt of the earth.

“And when they behave and act righteously then we will begin to see the fruits of righteousness and that makes the preachers the very pillar and the power behind every nation”.

The General Evangelist of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Hezekiah Oladeji and Apostle Solomon Mustapha, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji, described the deceased as a true man of God who had greatly impacted the church of God.

The first son of Prophet Olowere, Pastor Sam Olowere said his father was a man of God to the core not by title but character and sacrifice.

“In every area he showed himself as one who was sent to fulfill his mandate and every single part of his life he used it for the ministry”.
