President Bola Tinubu has reacted to the Supreme Court ruling affirming his election.
The president reacted in the presidential villa when his staff invaded his office to congratulate him.
Recall that the Supreme Court had earlier ruled in favour of the president in the petitions brought before it by Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar.
The court in its ruling said that Atiku and Peter Obi’s appeals lacked merit and should be dismissed.
The court consequently warned against speculations, organizing of press conferences and other media trials while a case is still in court.
It also warned that the constitution should be interpreted based on how it affects the generality of an issue and not to narrowly interprete it to suit certain purposes.
