Must read

The Supreme Court has reserved judgment in the appeal by Peter Obi and the Labour Party (LP) against the September 6 judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) which affirmed the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the last presidential election.

The NATION reports that Justice John Okoro, who led a seven-member panel that heard the appeal, said parties would be notified when the judgment is ready.

Lawyer to the appellants, Livy Uzoukwu (SAN) while adopting his written briefs, prayed the court to allow the appeal and grant the reliefs sought.

Abubakar Mahmoud (SAN), for INEC; Wole Olanipekun (SAN) for Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettma; and Akin Olujinmi (SAN) for the APC, urged the court to dismiss the appeal for lacking in merit.
