President Bola Tinubu has appointed then new leadership across the Nigeria communications, innovation and digital economy sectors.
In the new appointments, Aminu Maida is to take over from Prof Umar Danbatta as the new Executive Vice Chairman of Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
This was disclosed in a statement by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President and made available to newsmen on Wednesday.
The Crux reports that Tinubu appointed both the new and returning Chief Executives to fresh terms in office across multiple agencies under the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy.
The statement further named Nkechi Egerton-Idehen as the MD / CEO, Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited, NIGCOMSAT.
Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, as the DG / CEO, National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA.
Dr. Vincent Olatunji as the National Commissioner / CEO, Nigeria Data Protection Commission, NDPC.
Tola Odeyemi as the Postmaster General / CEO, Nigerian Postal Service, NIPOST.
The appointments take immediate effect, according to the statement.
