Pastor Paul Enenche, the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), has visited the site where a branch of his church collapsed in Northbank, Makurdi, Benue State.

The unfortunate event which happened on Monday claimed the life of the resident pastor, Ezekiel Sunday Ahmed, and left three others injured.

The Senior Pastor who arrived at the scene in the company of his wife, Becky, a few minutes after 6 p.m., personally assessed the collapsed structure.

He offered prayers for the victims and extended words of comfort to the gathered sympathizers, urging them to find solace.

He urged them to be encouraged stating that the situation would have been worse if it happened during the night vigil or on Sunday when the Church had the 7-hour in His Presence liberty service just two days before the incident.

During a brief interview with journalists at the scene, Pastor Enenche emphasized that the ministry takes due diligence seriously in constructing its buildings.

He expressed the ministry’s commitment to further scrutinize and enhance their building procedures, including technical details, to ensure that such tragic incidents are prevented in the future.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Benue State, Fr Hyacinth Alia, expressed disappointment with the church’s leadership for what he described as the erection of a substandard structure and reported revoked the plot allocation to the Church.
