The petition filed by the candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Beatrice Itubo challenging the declaration of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Simnalaye Fubara as the winner of the 2023 governorship election in the State has been dismissed by Rivers State Governorship Election petition tribunal.
The hearing on who actually won election is currently ongoing in Abuja.
This follows a petition filed by LP and the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate, Tonye Cole.
Meanwhile Beatrice Itubo, who wants the tribunal to declare her winner of the polls, came a distant third in the election.
