Nigeria’s bid to co-host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations with Benin Republic has hit the rocks.
This comes as the Confederation of African Football (CAF) awarded the rights to Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

Morocco won the right to stage the 2025 edition of the AFCON finals.
It was in 2000 that Nigeria last hosted the continental event. The tournament was named Ghana-Nigeria 2000.
