Hadiza Balarabe Sabuwa, the Deputy governor of Kaduna State has described Dr. Abdulmalik Durunguwa as a thorough-bred technocrat and a political juggernaut with large heart to accommodate everyone irrespective of tribes, political affiliations, religion and parental background.
He said this when a renowned socio-cultural organization in the Northern part of Nigeria popularly known as Southern Kaduna Unity Frontiers on Saturday, 9th August 2023, bestowed a meritorious award of excellence and humanitarian services on Alhaji Dr. Abdulmalik Muhammed Durunguwa.
The award which was presented to him in Kafanchan, the headquarters of Jamaar Local Government Area of Kaduna State, was presented during the year 2023 Unity Summit of SKUF with the theme: ‘ Path to Rebuilding Unity of Southern Kaduna.
Speaking during the award presentation, the Deputy Governor thanked all the awardees, especially Alhaji Abdulmalik Muhammed Durunguwa for his humanitarian services to every Nigerian, especially the Southern Kaduna people where he hails from.
She described Dr. Durunguwa as a thorough-bred technocrat and a political juggernaut with large heart to accommodate everyone irrespective of tribes, political affiliations, religion and parental background..
Durunguwa on his own after taking the award, thanked Southern Kaduna people for their relentless efforts towards building formidable structure and paths to sustain their unity amid global challenges in leadership and the economy.
He urged them to keep praying for the peace, unity and development of the entire Nigeria, the Ahmed Bola Tinubu government and Kaduna State especially.
In support of his speech, all the organizing committee members of the Unity Summit, urged the Executive Governor of KADUNA State, His Excellency Senator Uba Sani to recommend Durunguwa, PhD to the presidency as suitable replacement for His Excellency, Mallam Nasir Elrufai, whom due to his commitment towards his further studies, turned down his nominations for ministerial appointment..
