Nigerian singer and rapper, Naira Marley, has finally reacted to the death of MohBad, his ex-signee and former band member.
MohBad passed away a few days after his Ikorodu show. His death has since generated controversies following series of events that led to it.
He was buried a day after, at his hometown, Ikorodu, Lagos.
Since his death, Naira Marley and his crew as well as associates have come under heavy social media attack as they were alleged to be responsible.
The allegation became stronger when a petition MohBad submitted with the police surfaced online. In the petition, he alleged that his life was under threat and that Naira Marley and Sam Larry wrote after him. He cited an incident that happened during a video shoot with Zlatan Ibile where the scene was invaded. He attached a video of the incident to the petition.
But a statement posted on his Instagram on Friday, Naira Marley admitted being “heartbroken” by Mohbad’s death, adding that he will “be truly missed”.
Though he admitted to have had disagreements with Mohbad, he was quick to dismiss insinuation that he could have in any way harmed him.
While demanding a thorough investigation into MohBad’s death, Naira Marley condoled with the family.
