The remains of late Nigerian rapper and singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, have been committed to mother earth in Ikorodu, Lagos state.
The 27-year-old singer died on Tuesday, September 12 with several versions on what led to his death
While several allegations and counter allegations have continued to unsettle the music industry over the death of the late singer, it remains unclear what led to his death.
MohBad’s family had in a post on his various social media handles confirmed the artiste’s death, but failed to state exactly how he died.
Their silence over the cause of death has further raised suspicion as to the rumour about the artiste’s battle with some psychological issues.
Some have in the course of their analysis accused his former record label boss, Naira Marley for being directly responsible for his death.
Others have, however, defended Marley, saying the issue with MohBad was personal and should not be linked to Marley.
Another report had claimed that the singer had sought medical treatment for an ear infection but, after receiving an injection, he lost consciousness and could not be revived.
But despite the controversy surrounding the artiste’s death, he was buried today, September 13. His burial came less that 24 hours after his tragic passing.
Viral images of his burial has flooded the internet amid wailing. A particular video seen by our correspondent was when his coffin was lowered into the grave.
It is not clear yet if MohBad was a Christian or Muslim.
AFRIPOST recalls that MohBad had raised the alarm earlier in a post that should anything happens to him, Naira Marley should be held responsible.
Similarly, his industry friend and colleague, Bella Shmurda had alleged that MohBad had attempted suicide following his fight with Naira Marley. He said that it was his girlfriend who saw him when he was about to jump off a window of a storey building that saved him.
MohBad was in a relationship with a lady. They both had a baby together. The baby was only five months before the artiste’s passing.
