The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has apprehended a driver who used both foreign and Nigerian number plates on his vehicle.
The driver, who had a Kano number plate (BBJ746AA) at the front and a foreign one (CV 51UMC) at the rear of his Volkswagen Golf 3, was arrested in the Idu area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The vehicle and the driver have been handed over to the Life Camp Divisional Police Command for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The FRSC has urged the public to be aware that they are actively cracking down on such offenses and will impound vehicles and arrest suspects.
The Corps Marshal, Dauda Ali Biu, has ordered a nationwide clampdown on unstable, unregistered, and improperly registered vehicles, and special operations are ongoing to ensure the arrest of all involved.
