Former Governor of Gombe State, Ibrahim Dankwambo, has called for an investigation into the ongoing protest by the female students of the University of Calabar.
Videonaija reported Monday afternoon that some female students accused one Prof Cyril Ndifon, Dean of the university’s Faculty of Law, over alleged sexual harassment by the don.
The female students mainly from the law department opened up in a protest during a management meeting.
The students who came out with various inscriptions on their placards wrote: Ndifon Must Go!” “We’re tired of sucking dicks for marks”, “Law Girls Are Not Bonanza”, “Prof Ndifon Must Stop Grabbing our Bum Bum”.
Dankwambo reacting to the protest, insisted on the protection of the students and demanded that justice must prevail against the culprit.
He tweeted: “I demand a thorough investigation into the disturbing allegations of sexual harassment made by female Law students of Unical against Faculty of Law dean, Prof. Cyril Ndifon.
“Every student deserves a safe and respectful learning environment.
“The authorities must ensure that justice prevails and the protesting students are protected.”
