LGA boss pays school fees for 70 less-privileged students in his council

The Executive Chairman of Abakaliki Local government Council Area of Ebonyi State, Hon. Nwoba Ebere Stephen has paid school fees of 70 less privileged students from different institutions in his Local government Council Area.

Stephen advised the students to take their studies very seriously and avoid living an expensive lifestyle.

He gave the advice to  the beneficiaries who are mainly orphans, selected according to the severity of their individual financial needs while stressing his commitment to uplifting the needy in the society.

The chairman said, “This gesture was intended to reduce the burden of institutional cost on the affected students and their parents in order to improve on the educational standard of citizen of Abakaliki Local Government Area in the State.”

Recall that it is not the first time the chairman has assisted students especially those less privileged ones in the downtrodden since his resumption as the Council Chairman.

The Chairman appealed to beneficiaries to take their studies seriously and avoid expensive lifestyle in other to excel in their academic pursuit because it is
on this ground that the student would know that to whom much is given much is expected and congratulated the beneficiaries.
