Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule has stated that the N8,000 palliative by the federal government was enough and can some some of the problems of poor Nigerians.
While on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, the Governor argued that N8,000 is a reasonable amount for many poor homes in the country who hardly receive such an amount in a month.
He further buttressed that the N5,000 palliative distributed by the past government had helped many Nigerians in the past.
He stressed that many homes relied on it to add value to their lives, adding that some communities even engaged in contributions and in the end utilized the money very well.
He added, “So, N8,000 may not be so much money to some people, but it is a lot to so many other people who are from very poor families that don’t see N8,000 every month.
“So, the only thing is that let us identify those families.”
