Party chieftain from Abia state and former two-time member of the National Executive Council of the governing All Progressives Congress in Nigeria, High Chief Nduka Anyanwu, on Wednesday, lauded the election of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the chairman of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

The President disclosed this in a statement posted on his Twitter verified handle on Sunday.
Earlier, Chief Anyanwu who was also an elrsewhile Assistant National Publicity Secretary of the defunct All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP), while reacting in a statement on Wednesday, noted that Tinubu’s emergence as ECOWAS chairman has further affirmed the belief that the President possesed the enormous capacities, ability and expertises in solving myraids of challenges facing Nigeria, and also beyond her shores.
He noted that the president’s recent activities cum actions on his assumption of office in May, which he reeled out as oil subsidy removal, presidential assent on Students Loan Bill passed by the national assembly, appointment of best brains as service chiefs and heads in federal ministries, departments and agencies, ongoing overhaul/reforms in the apex Nigeria bank(Central Bank of Nigeria), and rest of many others, endeared the implicit confidence and support displayed by these west africa leaders in the new nigeria leader to lead them in engendering peace and deepen democracy in all member-countries that formed the Economic Community of West Africa States.
Anyanwu confided that President Tinubu will bring forward his enormous wealths of experiences, proven leadership acumen and capacity, and visionary ideas, towards placing west african region on the path of sustainable peace, security, and genuine economic and infrastructural growths for the good of citizens from respective member-states that birthed ECOWAS.
While confiding on the african leaders and member states on the President’s sterling leadership qualities, the immediate-past Chairman, Governing Board Council of Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCN), congratulated Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu on his emergence as the new chairman of Economic Community of West Africa States (ECOWAS).
The party stalwart commended President Tinubu for his promise to renew his dedication to pursuing peace and progress within the west African region to ensure issues of security are tackled and economic growth is guaranteed.
The member of the disbanded APC 2023 Presidential Campaign Council/Abia Coordinator on Grassroots Mobilization for Tinubu/Shettima Presidency, encouraged Tinubu to do his best in renewing committment to pursuing peace is fostered and to make sure acts of insecurities bedeviling most west africa countries are curtailed and brought to halt.
According to Anyanwu, “i would want to use this great medium to call on Nigerians of different ethnic diversity and political leanings to continue in giving their full support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu so as to be able to implement many lofty development-oriented agendas of his government for individuals benefits; growth and development of the populous black nation in the globe.”
