Ghanian rapper, Sarkodie and her former girlfriend and popular actress, Yvonne Nelson are now at each other’s throats after Miss Nelson accused the rapper of forcing her into an abortion.
Yvonne had revealed in her published book, ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’, that she got impregnated by Sarkodie but she was forced into aborting the baby after the rapper refused to accept responsibility.
In a chapter titled ‘A Difficult Decision’, she said Sarkodie “said no to keeping the pregnancy.”
But Sarkodie fired back in a latest single, ‘Try Me [Raw]’ released on Wednesday, claiming even though he was not ready, he had told the actress to keep the baby.
“Yes, I wasn’t ready but then I told you to keep it. So don’t make it seem like I was pushing you for abortion,” he raps in the first verse of the song.
He said Miss Nelson’s book was not so good, insisting that the patronage it is getting is as a result of the negative stories she churns out.
“Not because your book is really good but we are living in a world where negativity sells,” Sarkodie raps.
The rapper urged the actress to take the blame because “nobody is the cause of your bad choice in life”, and “stop the personal attacks.”
We both have daughters – Yvonne Nelson
But firing back, the Ghanian actress chastised Sarkodie for using rap to complicate her pain, saying live could throw anything at them.as they both have daughters.
She wrote on Twitter, “In my book, I narrated how you got me pregnant, how you couldn’t wait for me to get rid of it. How you DROVE me to have an abortion.
“As usual, you want to use rap to rubbish a pain a young woman felt. We both have daughters, let’s see what life throws at them. #triedyou.”
