Guinness World Record has has now confirmed that Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, aka Hilda Baci, has broken the record for the longest cooking marathon by individual, and now the record holder.
AFRIPOST had reported that the country went agog when Miss Baci cooked for about 98 hours non-stop, ending the reigns of an India lady, Lata Tondon who had earlier been crowned with a record of 87 hours 45 minutes.
On Tuesday, the record body finally certified her as the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon (individual).
The development came after an Ekiti lady, Chef Damilola Adeparusi announced that she was competing for the world record aiming to defeat Hilda.
