The Department of State Services, DSS, has now confirmed that Godwin Emefiele, the embattled and suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria is now in its custody.
A statement issued and signed by Peter Afunanya, the Public Relations Officer of the Department cautioned the media in its reports and narratives about the detained CBN boss.
The statement reads:
“The Department of State Services (DSS) hereby confirms that Mr Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is now in its custody for some investigative reasons.
“The public, particularly the Media, is enjoined to apply utmost caution in the reportage and narratives concerning this.”
