Decomposing bodies of abducted lovers found in Agbarho River, Delta

In a heart-wrenching turn of events, the decomposing bodies of two young lovers, Peter and Naomi, who were allegedly abducted two weeks ago, have been recovered from Agbarho River in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State. Naomi, a 200-level student at Delta State University, Abraka, was in the early stages of a relationship with Peter when the tragic incident occurred.

Peter’s body was found floating in the river, while Naomi’s corpse was discovered on the ground. Both victims had suffered machete wounds and gunshot injuries. The grieving mother of Naomi expressed her anguish, condemning the heartless act of the perpetrators. She shared the gruesome details, mentioning the injuries inflicted on her daughter and the pond where her lifeless body was discarded.

Contrary to initial reports, it has been clarified that the victims were not beheaded. A security source, speaking on the condition of anonymity, explained that the heads had separated from the decomposing bodies as they were carried away.

Naomi, who has already been laid to rest, was abducted at Federal junction, triggering desperate efforts by friends and family to secure her release. The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, has confirmed the incident based on reports received from the Divisional Police Officer in Agbarho and Okpe.

This disturbing incident has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving many questioning the safety and security of their loved ones. The authorities are urged to conduct a thorough investigation and bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice.
