Niger Governor-Elect to organise essay competition for secondary students to encourage creativity

The Governor-elect of Niger State, Hon. Mohammed Umar Bago, has announced plans to organize an essay competition for secondary school students to encourage to creative thinking and propose innovative solutions to issues facing the state.

Bago who stated this in MInna said the competition is open to all secondary school students, encourages participants to think critically about the state’s most pressing issues and write a 1,000-word essay on “the Niger State I Want.”

He also explained that the essay competition will be a great opportunity for them to share their thoughts on the challenges and opportunities facing our state and suggest solutions.

Hon. Umar Bago stated, “We want to hear from our young people about what their dreams are. We want to encourage them to showcase their writing skills as a way of developing them. They are the future of our state, and their ideas and perspectives are invaluable”.

“Our young people are our greatest asset and I want to ensure that they have the tools and resources they need to succeed and make a positive impact on our state.”

The governor -elect also noted that participants are encouraged to think creatively and propose innovative solutions to issues such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and the economy

“The essay competition is just one of the many initiatives be to used in engaging and empowering the state’s youth”.

The winning essay will receive a Mini Laptop, the Second Prize an Android Tablet Device, while the 3rd prize will win an Android Phone sponsored by Bago Foundation.

Prizes will be awarded to winners on children’s day, May 27th by Bago.
